Mehr News Agency, International Group: Prominent newspapers of the Arab world have covered issues such as today’s meeting of Arab foreign ministers in Jordan to review Syria’s return to the Arab League and the Iranian president’s visit to Syria on their front pages.
Referring to the meeting of the foreign ministers of the Arab countries in the capital of Jordan, the trans-regional newspaper Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed wrote: While some Arab countries are still against the return of Syria to its seat in the Arab League, today this meeting was attended by the foreign ministers of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt and Syria is held to discuss the political solution of the Syrian crisis.
This newspaper further wrote: In the shadow of these developments, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is going to visit Syria on Wednesday. This is the first visit of the president of Iran to Syria after the start of the war in this country.
Referring to the crisis in the relations between the Zionist regime and the United States, the trans-regional newspaper Al Quds al-Arabi wrote: The head of the National Security Council of Israel has warned of a real crisis in the relations between Tel Aviv and Washington. In a conversation with Israel TV, he emphasized that the reason for this crisis is due to the judicial reform plan of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet.
According to Al-Quds al-Arabi newspaper, this Zionist official continued: We are witnessing the formation of a sense of daring and challenging around us because others feel that Israel will be destroyed.
Abdolbari Atwan, a prominent analyst of the Arab world, wrote in his editorial in Raei Al-Youm newspaper: The countries that are against the return of Syria to the Arab League under the pressure and dictates of the United States do not want to accept the radical changes that have taken place in the Arab countries and the world. Syria’s resistance against American plots to divide this country despite huge costs, the agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia that changed all the equations in the Arab world, the rise of the power of China and Russia and the end of American hegemony, the defeat of America in Ukraine and the most important weapon. This country is the weapon of sanctions along with the withdrawal of most of the countries in the region led by Saudi Arabia from the circle of subordination to the United States.
Al-Watan newspaper of Syria, referring to the meeting of foreign ministers about Syria, wrote: Although the Jordanian officials have announced that this meeting will be held in line with the plan of this country regarding Syria, informed sources have announced that the said meeting is a continuation of the meeting of the foreign ministers of the member countries of the Cooperation Council. The Persian Gulf will be held in Jeddah.
These sources have emphasized that the importance of this meeting, which will be held with the presence of Syria, lies in examining ways to strengthen joint Arab cooperation and increasing contacts regarding Syria’s return to the Arab League.
In a report referring to the Sudan crisis, the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar wrote: International parties, especially the United States, China and Russia, do not attach much importance to the Sudan crisis. Although America was present in most of the calls to solve the Sudan crisis, it is clear that Washington is content with this and is trying to deal with Sudan at the lowest possible cost. The US Secretary of State tries to support both parties equally in the dialogue with the conflicting parties in Sudan; A completely different policy towards Libya.
Al-Sharq Al-Awsat trans-regional newspaper also wrote about the meeting of Arab foreign ministers in Jordan: a source informed Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper that in this meeting there may be an agreement on a political scenario and an attempt to implement it without provoking the international community and linking the return Syria to the political process in this country.
Earlier, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi spoke with his Syrian counterpart Faisal al-Maqdad in Amman about the opportunities to circumvent the sanctions imposed on Damascus through the Arab League and strengthen relations with Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Egypt.
The Lebanese newspaper al-Banna also wrote, referring to the visit of the president of our country to Syria: Ibrahim Raisi is scheduled to meet with the president of this country, Bashar al-Assad, on Wednesday during his trip to Syria. The importance of this meeting lies in the fact that Raisi’s visit is the first visit of the Iranian president to Syria after the start of the war in 2011. This newspaper further wrote: This time, the meeting of the presidents of Iran and Syria coincides with the end of the war in this country and the victory for Damascus, along with the defeat of all conspiracies for the division of Syria or the fall of this country’s regime; The meeting is held to strengthen the strategic alliance between Syria and Iran.
