The repeated promise of the head of the trade development organization: import with digital currencies will be operational soon

Alireza Peyman Pak, head of Trade Development Organization and Deputy Minister of Security, recently once again mentioned the implementation of the import plan with digital currencies in the near future and said that the Central Bank has issued the relevant license and the implementation of the plan is only waiting for the final approval of the Ministry of Economy.

A blockchain-based process and platform was defined to cover both B2B topics and to connect Iranian platforms with neighboring countries to be able to exchange based on cryptocurrency.

He continued:

This required a system, because the system based on which the exporter takes cryptocurrency and transfers it to the importer requires technical processes, and more importantly, it must be connected to the comprehensive trading system and the central bank’s currency allocation systems.

Peyman Pak stated:

With the help of the Chamber of Commerce, we defined and designed this system, which was finalized at the beginning of last winter and adapted to related platforms. The problem we had was the issue of Riyal intermediary account, which was assigned and this intermediary account was designed.

Emphasizing that the Central Bank has issued the relevant license and we are just waiting for the final approval of the Ministry of Economy, he said:

It was supposed to be implemented by the end of autumn last year, but the launch of the system and legal mechanism delayed its implementation. While we were facing changes in the central bank, the work is almost finished now and this process will be operational soon.

The Deputy Minister of Silence said:

According to the statistics and information of the Ministry of Security and the Central Bank, some authorized cryptocurrency mining units inside the country made imports in exchange for their own cryptocurrency, which, of course, is not a high number and amounts to several tens of millions of dollars; But based on that, we tested the work process, which will be implemented from this year.
