The Republic of Azerbaijan announced the summoning of the Iranian ambassador

According to the report of Fars International News Agency, Aykhan Hajizadeh, the head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, announced that he received a note from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baku addressed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan on April 3 (today, Monday).
According to him, Abbas Mousavi, Iran’s ambassador to the Republic of Azerbaijan, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in connection with the mentioned issue.

According to Baku’s announcement, in the meeting with the Iranian ambassador, “the need to take immediate measures to prevent the spread of false and biased information against the Republic of Azerbaijan in Iranian media was emphasized.”
For some time, the Republic of Azerbaijan has turned to accusing Iran and creating tension in relations with Tehran. Recently, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Nasser Kanani, described the positions adopted by the authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan following the armed attack on the country’s embassy in Tehran as the result of an emotional and unprofessional approach.
