According to Mehr News Agency, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hossein announced in a conversation with Rawdaw TV channel that the upcoming meeting between the officials of Iran and Saudi Arabia will be held publicly in Baghdad.

He added: We are trying to announce the time of the public meeting between the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Iran soon.

Fouad Hossein announced: Five security level meetings have been held between the two countries before. Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, has asked us to hold a meeting with the presence of the Saudi foreign minister and his Iranian counterpart in Baghdad.

He added: “Currently, we are making the necessary preparations to hold a public meeting between the foreign ministers of these two countries in Baghdad.”

The Iraqi Foreign Minister emphasized: The previous meetings of Iranian and Saudi officials were held in secret, but with the mediation of Iraq, these meetings will be held publicly.

It should be mentioned that Baghdad has hosted several talks between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
