These cooperatives are a suitable lever for economic development, which in addition to fulfilling economic demands (increasing production and income) will also seek social results. There is a direct relationship between entrepreneurship and cooperative activity. The independent characteristics of each of the two categories lead to the creation of integrated and progressive characteristics. This means that in women’s cooperatives, due to its principles and related characteristics such as free and optional membership, limited capital gains, surplus income and training and cooperation among members, etc., it provides a suitable platform for the development of entrepreneurship.
Among the effects of entrepreneurship development in women’s cooperatives, we can mention job creation at local levels, development of industrial and commercial uses and geographic distribution of markets, prevention of price increases of products and services, reduction of production and development costs, and optimization of distribution channels.
