The Russian diplomat’s taunt to the Europeans about the unprecedented fall of the euro

According to Fars International News Agency, “Mikhail Ulyanov”, Russia’s representative in international organizations in Vienna, Austria, in a message on Twitter, pointed out the negative impact of Western sanctions against Russia.
In this Twitter message, he wrote: “Isn’t it clear yet that the sanctions have had the opposite effect and will never achieve their stated goals?”
Ulyanov further added: “Instead of diplomatic efforts, EU countries have unsuccessfully focused on economic pressure and arms transfers, which will lead nowhere.”
Ulyanov published this tweet in response to Mick Wallace, an Irish member of the European Parliament, tweeting about the fall in the value of the euro.
According to reports, the value of the European Union currency has reached its lowest level in the last 20 years.
The reason for the fall in the value of the euro is the concern about the European Union’s entry into economic recession due to the crisis in the energy sector and the increase in fuel prices.
In general, the euro has lost 12% of its value since the beginning of this year, and the reason for this is the increase in the price of energy carriers due to the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Complications of importing gas from Russia, which is Europe’s largest energy supplier, have damaged the economy of European countries.
Igor Zhilnikov, master of economy and industry at Promozyabank Institute, says: For the first time in the last 20 years, we are witnessing the formation of parity between the euro and the dollar, because the value of the dollar is increasing due to the monetary policies of the Central Bank of America.
