The second commemoration of Zanjan National Knife Day will be held



According to the Arya Heritage report, citing the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Zanjan, Seyed Saeed Safavi said at noon on January 11, 1401: The art of knife making in Zanjan dates back to eighteen centuries ago, and Zanjani artisans are still working in this art until today. Zanjan is held on the occasion of the discovery of the first Salt Man knife in Cheharabad mine, Zanjan.

Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Zanjan added: The second Zanjan Knife National Day is celebrated with the cooperation of Zanjan History and Culture Lovers Association, Municipality, Industrial Towns Company, Knife Cluster, Knife Makers Cooperative, Islamic Azad University and General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Zanjan and knife makers. It will be held in the assembly hall of Farhangsarai Zendi, Women’s Park.

Safavi said: Zanjan is the cradle of Iranian knives, and we must register this day as a national day for the survival of the art of knife making so that it will last forever. This ceremony coincides with the anniversary of the discovery of a 2,400-year-old knife in the Cheharabad salt mine of Zanjan.
