Seyyed Hamid Sajjadi in a conversation with ISNA On the sidelines of the meeting of the government board about the time of handing over the remaining shares of Esteghlal and Persepolis clubs, he stated: The privatization organization, in cooperation with Esteghlal and Persepolis clubs, is continuously trying to hand over the shares of the two clubs.

He stated that according to the plan of the privatization organization, we were supposed to transfer 51% of the two clubs by the end of the summer, and added: The second round of transfers is scheduled to take place in September and we are planning for this issue. I had two detailed meetings with Esteghlal and Persepolis clubs and the league organization and the football federation and we discussed the necessary issues.

The minister of sports noted that two clubs are now listed on the stock exchange and when these companies are going to be transferred, all their issues should be clarified. In fact, the more regular and prepared the financial and administrative mechanism is, the faster the handovers will be.

In the end, Sajjadi said: If this transfer of shares does not happen by the end of the summer, this goal will be achieved by the fall. All our efforts are to hand over 51% of the shares as soon as possible, but all administrative and financial matters must be provided.
