The second meeting to explain the art of the Islamic Revolution/ Criticism is the need of today for the art of the Islamic Revolution

According to Fars news agency, in the meeting to explain the art of the Islamic Revolution, which was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Parviz Farsijani, Hojjatul-Islam Ali Zoulam, one of the professors of the field and researcher of the thoughts of the Imam and the supreme leader and head of the Islamic Revolution Research Institute, Dr. Majid Esmaili, a university lecturer and the CEO of the museum. Cinema and Dr. Nasrullah Qadri, author, director, theater researcher and university professor expressed their views and points of view regarding this historical letter.

At the beginning of this meeting, the letter of Imam Khomeini (RA) on the 30th of Shahrivar, 1367 and after the adoption of Resolution 598, in which he addressed the artists and the families of the martyrs, glorifying art and committed artists was distributed. In the aforementioned letter, the Imam praised the artists who used their art to fight against the arrogance and enemies of Islam and achieved the grace of martyrdom in the battle of truth against falsehood.

Then Hojjat-ul-Islam Ali Dhu Alam in a speech referring to the seven messages and missions in the said letter addressed to the artists said: This 250-word message of the Imam is a valuable strategy for explaining revolutionary art and if we need to compile revolutionary art, 7 points from I express this message as the seven missions of revolutionary art as an index and a logical formulation that will be effective in the field of various arts in an operational way.

Dhu Alam added: There have been various interpretations regarding the definition of revolutionary art, but none of the mentioned interpretations have had the comprehensiveness of this message. The first point and message of the mentioned letter is that revolutionary art must polish pure Islam and this polishing has deep meanings. The second point is the revelation of modern capitalism and the destructive role of the communist view. A part of capitalism is American Islam and the Islam of prosperity and luxury, which is definitely not accepted by the society, and this disclosure has a negative aspect.

The third mission is that art should be able to show blind spots and social, political and military problems, and this issue can be discussed from different aspects.

This seminary and university lecturer emphasized: Today, a part of the society blames the existing shortcomings and problems on Islam, and what is the role of revolutionary art in this regard?

He pointed out: The fourth mission is that revolutionary art should be able to depict justice and honor. The fifth mission of art in its true position is to reveal the image of Zale Sosfatani, who seem to feed on Islam, but are far from revolutionary and Islamic values.

The sixth message and mission is that art should be able to show and teach the way to fight against the world-eaters, and the seventh mission is to disgrace the innocent claimants of art, those who claim but only think about lust, fame and wealth and have the least relationship with the society around them. do not have

Dhu Alam emphasized in the end of his speech: In my opinion, a lot of work should be done on these seven missions because it has various aspects and a wide scope. Today, we have had good advanced art in various fields, but we still need to strengthen these characteristics and find their implications in the field of various arts.

According to this report, Dr. Nasrullah Qadri also pointed out the lack of attention to the important element of criticism despite emphasizing this issue in the Imam’s letter and said: The first and most important point that has been deliberately and deliberately neglected in this letter is the important issue of criticism from the point of view of A philosophy that requires interaction between artists, religious men, sociologists and philosophers to explain it, and unfortunately such a discussion that has a hermeneutic structure has not happened in our country so far due to the lack of interaction between them.

He pointed out that the issue of why such an issue has been neglected so far and we did not understand the meaning of the message goes back to the party, political and individual readings of the policy makers of different eras. He emphasized that there are multiple views of art through which art is discussed, and one of these views is propaganda and this type of view of art makes us have an emotional view. The next look is the joyful and full consuming look towards the category of art and the third look is the fantasy look in which the audience is not active in such forms and looks and is just passive.

Qadri continued: The fourth form and view is educational and pedagogy, which wants to teach the audience Marxist thought through art, but by shutting down his challenging mind and the fifth qualitative form of art, it is philosophical art, and it is not intended to present a specific philosophy in such a way that the audience makes him think only and not what to think about

This university lecturer clarified: Imam says that art should be a critic of social, political and military conditions, but when we do not accept the nature of the critic and do not consider the role of the critic for the artist, we have lost the game.

He added: “Art wants to bring us back to the square that we have been away from for a long time: home, mother, love and homeland; And actually wants to bring us back to ourselves

At the end of his speech, Nasrullah Qadri said: What is in this message is very clear. That we need theorists, and as I said, this theorizing requires interaction between sociologists, philosophers, religious men, and psychologists, etc. Unfortunately, in our country, the capacity for this interaction has not been created and achieved so far.

He clarified: the most important point of the mentioned message is to pay attention to mysticism; It means to reach oneself. The field of mysticism, especially Eastern and Islamic mysticism, has very valuable features that we must continue to strive for and we have weaknesses in this field.

Dr. Majid Esmaili, as the third speaker, gave an explanation about the historical letter of the Imam and said: The Imam (RA) defined the limits of the general atmosphere of the Islamic Revolution with a number of messages and words, and in the discussion of art, they did a strange thing with this letter. Imam (RA) expresses with decisive literature what revolutionary art should be.

By raising the question why we have poverty in the field of revolutionary art after 40 years, he said: “Henrik has our due in our religious atmosphere.” The importance of art is the same as the importance of the position of commanding and forbidding evil. We must express different concepts and topics in the language of art.

This university lecturer reminded: In the world of art, we are faced with inherent talents that cannot be denied. During the 40 years of the revolution, we constantly commissioned artists. We see the result of this action now. Between thought and talent, if reliance and emphasis is placed on talent, our situation will be like this, but if reliance and emphasis is on thought, the issue is different. We complain about our clergy and intellectuals who do not present their thoughts to be expressed through art and do not interact in this field.

In the end of his speech, the CEO of the Iranian Cinema Museum emphasized: a part of our thinking society should take the initiative to transform their thoughts into the language of art. We are weak in the field of theorizing the art field and we must do serious work in this field.

At the end, Parviz Farsijani, the secretary of the meeting, in a short speech, Babian emphasized why the Imam (RA) wrote this letter: This letter and message shows the recognition of the Imam (RA) and the revolution with art. Why haven’t we examined the basics of the art of the Islamic Revolution from the perspective of the Imam (RA) since 1967? Why haven’t we children of Islamic art taken this matter seriously? Why did revolutionary cultural institutions not look at Islamic art seriously? Why is the art of the revolution viewed with taste for 40 years?

He emphasized: An artist should be a tool for anti-tyranny and justice with his art.

The second meeting to explain the art of the Islamic Revolution (pure art) will be held by Basij Organization of the country’s artists and in cooperation with the Basij Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism at the Iran Carpet Museum. Basij organization of artists of the country will continue these meetings regularly in the future.
