The second nationwide festival of open film schools has started

According to Fars news agency, the opening ceremony of the second national festival of free film schools was held today, November 30, in the cinematograph hall of the cinema museum.

Qadir Ashna, Vice President of Technology Development and Studies of the Cinema Organization, Mehdi Shafiei, Secretary of the Second National Festival of Independent Cinema Schools, Mohammad Reza Faraji, General Director of the Technology and Audio-Visual Development Office of the Cinema Organization, Dariush Arjamand, Fariba Eszhar and Farhad Qaimian, judges of the acting department, Kianoush Garami, Mehri Shirazi and … were among those present at this ceremony.

The ceremony started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Mohammad Javad Ghasemi

Seyyedouhid Fakhr Mousavi, the moderator of the ceremony, invited Mehdi Shafiei, the secretary of the festival, to give a speech. While welcoming the audience, Shafi’i said: This film event belongs to you, the audience, and I am very happy that the festival of free cinema schools has entered its implementation phase. You all know that in this course, we have four sections: acting, short film, screenplay and photo section.

He continued: Today, the opening of the photo exhibition was held, and 30 of the 230 works sent to the festival secretariat were accepted.

Shafiei added: In the acting section, students were supposed to send us monologues, and nearly 700 students sent their works. Today, 30 students will perform and each performance will last about 7 minutes. Finally, tomorrow we will have the same number of works and for Thursday this number will be 15 people.

The secretary of the second festival of free cinema schools said: short films of the festival will be screened in the cinematograph hall, and within the next two days, 39 short films made by friends will be screened, and the closing of the festival will be held on Friday, the third of Azar, at Ivan Shams.

He went on to say: I would also like to thank Mr. Khazaei, the esteemed director of the Cinema Organization, for putting this event on the agenda, as well as Mr. Qadir Ashna, whose presence always encourages us. This cinematic event belongs to all of you. Also, for the first time, we will hold a meeting of all directors of free cinema schools on Thursday. I hope that this meeting and two-way talks between the directors of the cinema organization and the directors of the schools can speed up the movement towards our goals and we will witness good events in the free cinema schools.

In the continuation of this ceremony, the acting section of the second national festival of free cinema schools started with the performances of the students.

The second nationwide festival of free cinema schools, under the direction of Mehdi Shafiei, continues until December 3 at the Cinema Museum.
