According to Fars News Agency, “Masoud Naghashzadeh”, the secretary of Fajr Film Festival, announced the names of the members of the selection committee of Simorgh Soda section in the 40th Fajr Film Festival.

Accordingly, “Behrouz Afkhami” (writer and director), “Ismail Banyardalan” (university professor), “Pouran Derakhshandeh” (writer, producer and director), “Hossein Zandbaf” (editor, producer and director), “Majid Shah Hosseini” (Cultural Director, Researcher and University Professor), “Esfandiar Shahidi” (Director of Photography, Director and University Professor) and “Mohammad Hossein Niroumand” (Cultural Director) in this period of the festival, selected the films of the Iranian Cinema Competition (Simorgh Soda) Will be responsible.

According to the festival secretariat, the screening of feature films applying for the festival will continue until the end of December, and the names of a maximum of 22 films submitted to the Iranian Cinema Competition will be announced on January 26th.

The 40th Fajr Film Festival will be held in two cultural and competitive sections under the auspices of Massoud Naghashzadeh from 12 to 22 Bahman 1400.
