In this meeting, it was emphasized that the common historical roots, language, religion, culture, traditions and values ​​are the basis of the strategic partnership between the two countries. Relying on this solid foundation, significant results have been achieved in recent years in expanding bilateral cooperation.

He continued: “Cooperation between the two countries in economic, political, inter-parliamentary, cultural and social fields has expanded more than before, exchanges with political delegations, trade representatives and social circles are carried out at all levels.”

In this regard, the parliaments, as direct representatives of the people of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan, should play a key role in promoting “people’s diplomacy”, including by strengthening relations between the regions of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan, and supporting economic and cultural projects.

Azerbaijan is now one of Uzbekistan’s great partners. Trade between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in the first 10 months of 2021 is at the level of 61 million and 100 thousand dollars.
