According to the Mehr news agency, citing the public relations of Shahr TV, the country’s first urban Internet TV called “Shahr TV” with the presence of the Minister of Interior Ahmed Vahidi, Mehdi Jamalinejad, head of the Organization of Municipalities and Villages, and a group of national officials at the third Smart City Exhibition of Iran. This Internet TV aims to show natural attractions and tourism, the characteristics and customs of the people of different cities and their abilities, as well as providing a platform for introducing businesses and creating jobs in the “year of production, knowledge-based and job-creating” in order to develop cultural and help the economy of the country’s cities.
According to Saeed Moradi, director of Shahr TV Internet TV, Internet TV channels are an inevitable necessity in today’s media world and are considered a window of opportunity for knowledge-based fields and Smart City network.
Shahr TV was established by a technology company and is trying to be active in the field of introduction of Iranian cities and development of industry and tourism.
Shahr TV has been launched with the official license of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, and the Universal Audio and Video Media Regulatory Organization.
