The Supreme Labor Council is pursuing the construction of one million housing units for workers – Tejaratnews

The Minister of Labor said: “In the upcoming meeting of the Supreme Labor Council, we are looking to pursue the construction of one million workers’ housing by inviting our colleagues from the operating banks and the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development in the field of labor housing.”
According to Tejarat News, the Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare, Solat Mortazavi, on the sidelines of the weekly meeting of the government board, while explaining the recent meeting of the Supreme Labor Council, said: Regarding workers’ wages, the legislator has specified the task of how the Supreme Labor Council determines the minimum salary. We have determined the minimum salary accordingly.
He continued: We specified the minimum salary, not the maximum. Therefore, whatever the agreements between workers and employers are, they are approved by the ministry.
Mortazavi added: Of course, the agreements between the worker and the employer regarding salaries and wages are approved by us.
The Minister of Labor noted that 3 representatives of the workers are present in the meetings of the Supreme Labor Council and they may have different opinions. The outcome of the meeting was not the discussions that were reflected in the virtual space.
Mortazavi said: “In the upcoming meeting of the Supreme Labor Council, we are looking for, if possible, in the field of worker’s housing, by inviting our colleagues from the operating banks and the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development to follow the construction of one million housing for workers.”
