To begin with, it is good to know that this chip uses the ability to record video in 4K and 60 frames per second and is being developed based on 4nm manufacturing technology. Apart from these things, support for Hexagon Tensor accelerator with the aim of better machine learning, Snapdragon X62 modem with mmWave support and Smart Transmit 2.0 energy saving technology are among other important points that can be mentioned.

The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip has Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E, supports 120 Hz refresh rate in FHD Plus resolution, along with Quick Charge 4 Plus technology. All these specifications show that we are on the side of a big upgrade compared to the previous generation.

At the time of writing this news, there is no specific information about the release time and also the list of the first phones that are going to use this chip. But, it’s safe to say that Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 will bring massive improvements to all devices (especially mid-range products).
