The threat of the cinema organization did not work; Continued smuggling of movies on the screen!



After the cinema organization held several meetings with the deputy prosecutor, FATA police representative, cinema managers, etc., to solve this problem, this organization’s solution to deal with the illegal distribution of films, but appointing an inconspicuous inspection consisting of cinema residents, interested and active students in this Arena and some other cultural and artistic activists!

Charso Press: Although the cinema organization previously held theater owners responsible for the smuggling of films being screened and drew a line for them, the smuggling of films continues and there is no sign of dealing with the violators.

Now, more than two months have passed since the notice of the Cinema Organization for cinemagoers, the notice of which was a violation and the Cinema Organization pointed the finger at the theater owners and described them as responsible and accused.

An issue that flourished during the heat of the conflicts of those days and is still standing today without being the subject of discussion, we are talking about the smuggling of cinematography, the same issue that after the theater owners were accused, the theater owners immediately reacted to it and assigned responsibility for it. They told other institutions and devices.

It was May of this year that following the broadcasting of numerous reports and protests by cinematographers regarding the smuggling of their films, Ruhollah Sohrabi, Director General of Film Distribution and Screening of the Cinema Organization, reacted sharply and said: “In this regard, the cinematographers and the cinematographers’ association must be held accountable. Unfortunately, in the weeks Recently, we have seen some incidents and immorality in the field of movie screenings. Smuggling of films through filming on the cinema screen has caused concern to the owners of the works, which, of course, is completely justified. But the fact of the matter is that at this stage, the duty of taking care of the filmmakers’ capital is the responsibility of cinema owners and cinema hall officials, and this duty and mission is inherently defined and announced under the duties and missions of theater owners.

In front of and a short distance from these statements and stances, Mohammad Ghased Ashrafi, the head of Cinematographers’ Association, objected to these statements and denied the responsibility of movie smuggling from theater owners.

He said: “Mr. Sohrabi’s statements were without arguments, and I objected to them in the face-to-face meeting.” Basically, it is not clear whether these films were actually filmed in cinema halls. Many government organizations and institutions have movie theaters today, and it is not really clear that the recording locations of these smuggled copies are movie theaters. Maybe the film was screened in an organization and institution specially for the employees and it was filmed there. From this point of view, the argument of Mr. Sohrabi is not correct at all that the movie came out of the cinema hall. “We strongly reject this.”

Although the cinematographic organization has a headquarters called the protection headquarters of cinematographic works in its heart, which happens to be one of the least productive and of course the most ignorant parts of this organization, and of course, in the case of the illegal distribution of films, it has pulled itself aside and does not consider itself responsible for this. But these movies are the ones that pay for these events.

Since the beginning of this year, almost all the important films on the screen have been stolen from the screen by filming with mobile phones, and a practical solution to deal with it has not yet been provided, and it seems that it is beyond the authority of the cinema organization, which is in charge of dealing with smuggling. Who are the movies?
