The speaker of the Presidium of the Parliament stated that the meeting to review the qualifications of the proposed Minister of Roads and Urban Development will be held next week and said: The letter of introduction of Mehrdad Bazarpash as the proposed Minister of Roads and Urban Development has been delivered to the Parliament and it will be announced in the public meeting this evening.
Seyyed Nizamuddin Mousavi said about the time of the meeting to review the competence of the proposed Minister of Roads and Urban Development: According to the internal rules of the parliament, the proposed minister has the opportunity to attend specialized commissions for one week to present programs and answer questions. Based on this, the meeting to review Mr. Bazerpash’s qualifications will be held next Sunday.
Biography of the Minister of Roads and Urban Development
Mehrdad Bazarpash (born in 1359 in Tehran) is a politician and head of the Audit Court of Iran. He is also the franchise owner of Watan Mozur newspaper. Mehrdad Bazarpash’s candidacy for the head of the Audit Court was met with opposition. In this letter, it was pointed out that there is no “sufficient experience and relevant education” of Bazarpash to head the Audit Court. While the mentioned work experience does not even reach 17 years. He had criticized that Bazarpash considered his work experience in the student Basij organization as his work experience, which according to the law is not considered as employment.
Ehsan Arkani, the representative of the people of Neyshabur, Firuzeh and Zabarkhan in the Islamic Council, said that regarding the doubt created about the 20-year work experience of Bazarpash, one of the conditions for the candidacy of the head of the Audit Court, he wrote: “The records and documents of 20 years of work experience were asked from him and Mr. Bazerpash also presented all the documents of his work history, which was “from the beginning of 1379″, and this was done by Mr. Engineer Mansour Rahimi, the commander of the 27th Mohammad Rasulullah Division’s demolition battalion, a graduate of Sharif University and the head of the research institute where Mr. Bazerpash worked during the years 1379 to 1382.
