The United Nations condemned the terrorist attack in the sacred shrine of Shahcheragh (AS).


According to the report of Fars News Agency International Group, United Nations Spokesman Stephen Dujarric condemned the terrorist attack in the holy shrine of Shahcheragh (PBUH) in Shiraz.

The UN spokesperson said: “An attack on a religious place in Iran deserves condemnation and we condemn all terrorist acts.”

In the evening of this Wednesday, an armed person opened fire at the pilgrims while entering the holy shrine of Shahcheragh. So far, 13 martyrs and 21 wounded have been reported in this terrorist operation, and one woman and two children are among these victims.

The police commander of Fars province identified a person as the perpetrator of this terrorist act, who has been arrested. The Chief Justice of Fars Province also announced that the arrested person is under interrogation.

An informed source told Fars reporter: The perpetrator of this terrorist incident is Hamed Badakhshan, who is 23 years old. Some sources report that the perpetrator of this terrorist act is non-Iranian.

According to the information received by the Fars reporter in Shiraz, the perpetrator of this terrorist act started shooting with a Kalashnikov weapon while entering the courtyard. He also brought an extra magazine.

The perpetrator of this incident, who is an element of Takfiri groups, entered the Shahcheragh shrine from Bab al-Reza and entered the hall of Hazrat Masoumeh (pbuh) and then reached the main shrine of the shrine.

Investigations by Fars reporter show that the security forces of the shrine were also targeted in this terrorist attack. An ambulance bus has entered the shrine area with rescue forces.

21 of the injured have been taken to medical centers by rescue forces. 2 of the injured have been reported to be in a bad condition.
