The unveiling of “Subtraction” in the competition section of the Toronto Festival
The film “Subtraction” by Mani Haghighi will have its world premiere at the 47th Toronto International Film Festival.
Charso Press: The 47th Toronto Film Festival announced the list of films in the platform competition section, and the film “Subtraction” directed by Mani Haghighi and produced by Majid Melabi will represent Iranian cinema in this section.
The Toronto Film Festival is one of the most prestigious film events in the world, which for the first time has chosen a film from Iranian cinema to be screened in the platform competition section.
Taraneh Alidosti and Navid Mohammadzadeh play the main roles of “Subtraction”. In this way, this year, Navid Mohammadzadeh has succeeded in participating in the competition section of three prestigious festivals, Cannes, Venice and Toronto, with his films.
The global distribution of “Subtraction” is under the responsibility of “Films Boutique” company, which previously handled the global distribution of Mani Haghighi’s previous production “Pig”.
The 47th Toronto Festival will be held from September 17 to 27 (September 8 to 18).
