The unveiling of the cartoon book “Hospital is not a war zone”; Artists must come to the field

According to the Fars news agency’s visual reporter, the press conference for the launch of the cartoon and caricature book “Hospital is not a war zone” as well as the opening ceremony of the cartoon and caricature exhibition was held on Tuesday, Bahman 2, at the Islamic Revolution Art Center.

The cartoon and caricature book “Nesit War Zone Hospital” was created with the efforts of 35 foreign cartoonists from 24 countries at the same time as the Al-Aqsa storm operation and the Zionist regime’s crimes against civilian centers from the attack on the hospital and the genocide of the defenseless people of Gaza, especially children. Also, 51 works of art have been displayed in the Abolfazl Gallery of the Art Department.

At the beginning of this program, Akram Sediqi, the head of North Khorasan province’s artistic field, said: The hospital is not a war zone. When hospitals were hit, these works were created by the efforts of concerned artists. God willing, we have decided to hold this exhibition in other countries as well.

Abbas Naseri, an international cartoonist, said about this book: I am a fugitive from repetition, we have had oppressors and oppressors for many years, and various works have been produced in this regard. But a new thing happened when the hospital was opened, and we tried to collect and display the magnificent works of 35 artists from 24 countries.

He continued: We tried to collect this book with an acceptable quality. There are 51 works in this book that we are trying to send to all artists. These works have been given to us completely free of charge.

Abtahi said in this meeting: Congress of Martyrs of Tehran province started today. We have 25 thousand martyrs from 11 million Tehran. In the world, this war continues in different forms, but for the first time, we are witnessing the rise of justice in the world, which started from Harvard.

He continued: The maturity of the media in the resistance front has been revealed, and the Zionist regime was victorious in the field for only 4 days and won the resistance’s perception war. This exhibition is the beginning of showing caricatures in this era.

Mohammad Zarwii Nasrabad, director of visual arts of the art field, while thanking the art field of North Khorasan, said: The war we are witnessing right now is a war of inequality. The media should do much more. Visual artists were always the ones who had the first reactions. Cartoons and caricatures can be compared to cartoons.

He continued: In this soft war, artists should come to the field and they should be used. The distinguishing point of this exhibition, in addition to the magnificent works that exist, is that we do not have any Iranian artist in it, which conveys a message to us based on the fact that it is not only Iran that is dealing with this disaster, and the whole world has heard about it.

Zoreei said: Our arms are open to all artists and the art field is eager to support them. In the field of education, training and promotion, special works will be done next year.

Saeed Lashgari, deputy director of provincial affairs in the art field, said: “In all the seditions that occur in the world, the question is, where is the artist in these stories?” In the incident that we witnessed, which was a test of honor and humanity, the artist showed his human responsibility and I see that the artist has found his historical point.

He added that the field of civilizational confrontation between colonialism and arrogance has reached its critical point. Maybe it takes different names, but today, due to the most important event, the Islamic Revolution, these lights became brighter.

Lashgari continued: This program is the result of lining up artists of one front against another. The western world is worried that the young people who grew up in their own environment stood against them. The art field of the Islamic Revolution considers itself obliged to do this in order to reach its activism through the artists of this field.

At the end of this meeting, the book “The hospital is not a war zone” was unveiled and the exhibition of these works was opened in the art field.
