The US House of Representatives has issued summonses for four Trump officials

According to Fars News Agency’s International Group, a special committee in the US House of Representatives, which is in charge of investigating the attack of “Donald Trump” supporters on the Congress building on January 6, has issued summonses for 4 former US government officials.
According to Hill, a website close to the US Congress, the committee sent letters to Dan Scavino, Trump’s deputy chief of staff, Cashiap Patel, former Pentagon chief of staff, and Steve Bannon, a former House strategist. White and Mark Meadows, former White House Chief of Staff, have been summoned to Congress.
According to US media reports, the letter asked the four Trump advisers to appear in Congress in mid-October to provide explanations.
The letter sent to each of these officials outlined the committee’s reasons for suspecting these individuals of their possible role in the January 6 attack.
For example, the letter to Bannon states that he was present at the Willard Hotel on January 5, 2021, where some efforts were coordinated to prevent the outcome of the congressional election.
The letter also states that Bannon contacted Donald Trump on December 30, 2020, and asked him to focus his efforts on annulling the election results on January 6.
After losing to his rival in last year’s US election, Trump has claimed widespread fraud and filed numerous lawsuits in various state courts, almost none of which have been resolved.
On January 6, the US Congress was counting the votes of the Electoral College to approve the results of the November 3 presidential election. .
Trump supporters, however, attacked Congress in large numbers and, after clashing with security forces, made their way into the building and its various rooms. Five people, including a policeman, were killed in the attack.
The attack by Trump supporters on the US Congress building marked his second congressional impeachment. However, Trump’s trial in the US Senate was opposed by Republicans and failed.
