The Vienna talks have been accompanied by real progress – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

A White House spokesman said significant progress had been made in the Vienna talks to lift sanctions on Iran.

According to the report, “Jen Saki” said in a press conference: “Nuclear talks with Iran have been accompanied by real progress.”

He also claimed that if Iran showed seriousness, an agreement could be reached within a few days for a joint return to Borjam.

Meanwhile, a number of Republican lawmakers in the US Congress have warned the president against offering any nuclear guarantees or agreements with Iran without congressional approval.

In this regard, 160 Republicans in the US Congress sent a letter to President Joe Biden urging him to refuse to provide any guarantees about Iran’s nuclear program.

“We must remind Biden that he can not give any guarantees to Iran about its nuclear program,” the envoy said, referring to local US media. We will investigate any connection between the Vienna talks on Iran’s nuclear program and the talks with Russia over Ukraine.

Republicans in the US Congress also warned that any nuclear deal with Iran without congressional approval would lead to the same fate as the 2015 deal during Barack Obama’s presidency.

In their letter to Biden, the delegates stressed that any agreement with Iran without the formal consent of Congress would be temporary and non-binding, and would face the same fate as Borjam.

The letter also stressed that without examining all of Iran’s undeclared nuclear activities, past and present, and the complete dismantling of its uranium enrichment infrastructure and capacity, there should be no move to lift sanctions on Iran. Will happen.

It is worth mentioning that the nuclear talks in Vienna are at a very critical stage, and before that, Ali Bagheri Kani, Iran’s chief negotiator in these talks, had said: “After weeks of intensive talks, we are closer to an agreement than ever.” But until everything is agreed upon, nothing is agreed upon. Realism, refraining from extravagance and paying attention to the experience of the last 4 years are necessary to achieve this goal. It is time for our negotiating parties to decide.
