The Xbox will fully support FSR 2.0 technology

Company AMD At the GDC 2022 event held a few days ago, he shared various information about his future plans and confirmed that the Xbox platform will fully support FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 technology, or FSR 2.0 for short, in the near future. More along Lyon Tak Be.
According to the Red Team, FSR 2.0 technology is now included in Xbox development kits, allowing developers to easily implement this feature in their game. AMD further noted that there is still no specific timeline for the release of games that come with FSR. Improve game performance with FSR 2.0 technology
The first version of FSR was already used in some Xbox titles. For example, the Myst game on the Xbox Series X console with FSR enabled could run in 4K at 60 frames per second. On the other hand, with the activation of this technology in the Xbox Series S console, the performance of this game was improved and it was able to run at 1400p resolution and 60 frames per second.
Now that FSR 2.0 technology has been added to the Xbox, one can expect more games to be equipped with this feature. Of course, as of this writing, there is no word on whether the technology will be added to the PlayStation 5 console. In general, FSR 2.0 technology can provide better technical performance and higher resolution in games that take advantage of this feature without the need for machine learning. AMD stressed that the second version of the FSR will include a wider range of graphics cards (including consoles). However, the company believes that you need relatively powerful hardware to run FSR 2.0 in high resolution.
Support for FRS 2.0 technology is currently officially confirmed for both Deathloop and Forspoken. It should be noted that these titles are currently exclusive to the PlayStation 5 (and PC) and will be released later for the Xbox Series. Given that FSR is available as open source, it is not unlikely that it will run on the PlayStation 5 in the near future.
