“Thelma and Louise” is coming back this time as a musical

The story of the film is as follows: two best friends, Thelma Dixon and Lois Sawyer, plan a weekend trip to a mountain cabin for fishing to get away from their boring city life in Arkansas for a few days. Thelma is a simple housewife who is married to an abusive and controlling carpet merchant named Daryl. The sharp-tongued Lewis is a restaurant waiter who is in a relationship with a simple-minded musician named Jimmy who spends most of his time on road trips.
Stopping for drinks at a roadside bar, Thelma meets and dances with a flirtatious stranger, Harlan. Later in the parking lot, Harlan starts kissing Thelma and undressing her. Thelma resists, but Harlan responds with violence and intends to rape Thelma. Lois finds them in the parking lot and threatens Harlan with the pistol they brought from Thelma’s house. Harlan cuts in and yells that he should have raped Thelma as the two women start to walk away. Louise angrily shoots Harlan in the chest and Harlan is killed on the spot. Terrified Thelma takes Louise to the car and they escape in their car.
