This old Volkswagen was turned into a strange mobile home! + Photo

According to the online economy report, quoting from Khabar Online; This strange camper is based on a 1963 Volkswagen Type 2. You’ll find this Volkswagen Camper at Car & Classic, where it is auctioned in the UK. The proposed price is approximately 18,000 pounds (equivalent to 22,000 dollars).

A turbocharged four-cylinder Audi S3 engine is placed behind it. According to the auction description, the Volkswagen is in “immaculate condition.” The engine and automatic transmission are said to work well.

This customization is special because a van has been converted into a kind of trailer. The front part of the van is completely separated from it and has lost its normal shape.

The classic Volkswagen Type 2 interior has been given a few upgrades to accommodate the modern drivetrain. In the case of this trailer, a double bed is installed in the back. A large refrigerator is installed in the middle of the car at the foot of the bed, and cabinets and a counter are placed next to the bed behind the side doors.

Meanwhile, the space that was previously occupied by seats and a dashboard has now been converted into a large counter with more storage space. The small pop-top roof has been retained for more headroom, and the now-empty engine compartment has been lowered for more storage.

There is a canopy on the roof that extends for outdoor comfort.

According to the auction listing, the car is registered as a UK-legal vehicle. The car’s digital odometer shows 38,343 km (23,825 miles).
