According to Sputnik, the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced that an attempt was made to assassinate Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi using three drones. This was stated in a message posted on Al Jazeera’s Twitter page on Sunday.
The agency also reported the destruction of two drones. No other details were provided.
The attack on the head of the Iraqi government took place on Sunday night.
