The impact of car imports on luxury cars
Car expert Karimi Senjari said: Importing foreign cars will not have much effect on the price of domestic cars! Because in this way, there is no competition among domestic car manufacturers. In fact, the general public does not have the ability to buy luxury cars, but despite this, the majority of imported cars include luxury cars with expensive prices. In these years, in spite of the sanctions and the resulting inflation, the price of domestic cars has faced an incredible increase, and the same issue affects the price of foreign cars as well. In addition, as soon as a foreign car enters Iran, its price suffers a price shock and sometimes it is sold at several times the price in the open market; Therefore, the possibility of buying these cars is available only to the wealthy section of the society, and despite this, there is no hope of reducing the price.
The impact of car imports on domestic cars
Farbad Zaveh, an automobile expert, said: “The market of old Varadeti cars will not be affected by this decision, and cars such as Santa Fe, Benz and BMW major products of Hyundai, Kia and Toyota will not be affected by this import.” The market of Chinese assembled cars will not be affected and will remain unthreatened with good profitability. Only old small imported cars such as hatchbacks and small assembly cars and new domestic cars will be affected by this decree and their prices will decrease. In the meantime, especially post-implementation Korean assembly cars and Japanese Korean hatchback imports will have the greatest impact on the price reduction. This industry expert Khodro said: “Domestic cars will have little effect from this decree.” In the price range of 350 to 600 million Tomans, the greatest impact will be on market products, and lower products will have less impact.
