Top ideas in the field of Damghan pistachios are commercialized



In an interview with IRNA on Monday evening, Mehdi Sarfi added: “45 ideas in the fields related to the Ideashou Festival were sent to the 8th Iran-Damghan National Pistachio Festival with the aim of being among the best works and commercializing new ideas.”

He stated: Related and different works in the field of pistachio, tourism, planting, holding, harvesting, mechanization, 45 works were sent to the secretariat of the Pistachio Ideas Show Festival, which was invited to present the top 6 ideas through initial screening.

Sarfi continued: The works sent to the secretariat of this festival were sent from the cities of Kerman, Damghan, Semnan and different cities of the country, which among the top 6 ideas, four ideas are related to Semnan province, which according to this, the possibility of easy commercialization. He stated: The selected projects will undoubtedly be supported materially and spiritually by Semnan Science and Technology Park and Damghan University for commercialization.

Sarfi stated: Mechanization, planting, holding, harvesting, processing, creative industries and handicrafts of pistachio wood, discussion of agricultural tourism, production of fertilizers and toxins and axes related to pistachios, production of health and food cosmetics, are the axes of this festival.

He added: “The top three ideas of this festival were appreciated at the end by awarding exquisite prizes, and it was decided that these three ideas be implemented with the cooperation and support of the Science and Technology Park.”

Head of Entrepreneurship and Industry Relations Department of Damghan University said: This festival was held on the occasion of the 8th Iran-Damghan National Pistachio Festival by Semnan Science and Technology Park and Damghan University with the aim of commercializing top ideas, which we hope will be attended by the company in the coming years. According to IRNA, this year’s pistachio festival was held semi-virtually on November 17 and 18, due to the conditions caused by the corona and the need to observe hygienic procedures and prevent gatherings for 2 days.

Damghan University has more than 4,500 students who study in 73 fields and majors in eight faculties and more than 160 faculty members are active in this complex.
