Tourism is a path for the development of Kurdistan

Most of all, in the roadmap for the development of Kurdistan, its infrastructure and capacity are ready in the field of tourism, natural attractions such as soaring mountains, roaring rivers and historic villages, along with health tourism capacities and even pilgrimage more than any advantage. Another is eye-catching on the development path of Kurdistan.

According to IRNA, Kurdistan province is one of the tourist destinations due to its unique historical, cultural, natural and spiritual attractions. He mentioned agriculture and spiritual ceremonies such as Pirshalyar’s wedding and burial along with the rich culture of the people of the region.

On the other hand, 2,000 works including historical monuments, natural caves, ancient trees, movable heritage including buildings, yards and hills, aqueducts and natural sites have been identified in Kurdistan province, of which 950 works have been nationally registered.

In addition to the above, the introduction of various cities in Kurdistan province, including Sanandaj as a creative city of music, daf and books, border capacities and the need to use health tourism, pilgrimage attractions and various cultural festivals are other necessary capacities for tourism development. It is in Kurdistan, however, it seems that Kurdistan province is facing serious challenges due to the lack of “proper tourism infrastructure” in the civil and cultural sectors, which need to be addressed.

Marketing is one of the important pillars in the discussion of tourism development. The purpose of tourism marketing is to promote business, differentiate it from competitors, attract customers and create awareness of the tourist attractions of a region. Many modern tourism marketing strategies use the Internet. , Websites, online advertising, email and social media platforms often play a key role in this.

In Kurdistan province, although not much has been done in an organized and official manner in this area, but it seems that the spread of cyberspace has rushed to the aid of this industry and has been able to greatly beautify the people of Kurdistan to the people and Iran and even Know the world.

The broadcast of the serial “Nun Kh” on IRIB was one of the important factors in introducing Kurdistan, especially the villages of Oraman region, to tourists, so that the pristine region of Horaman, which was unknown until a few years ago, has now become one of the country’s tourist destinations. The large number of tourists in this region this spring is an example of this.

“Noon Kh” is a TV series that has been made into three seasons, directed by Saeed Agakhani and written by Amir Vafaei, and was broadcast on Nowruz 1398 on Channel One.

“Nun Kh” stands for the main role of this series, namely Noureddin Khanzadeh. The series “Nun Kh”, which was made in the villages of Horaman region, was the most watched series of Nowruz 1398. This series was broadcast in three seasons in 1399 and 1400 with different stories from One Sima and Tamasha networks, and was the most watched Nowruz series of IRIB for three years.

Following the broadcast of this series, a large number of tourists have traveled to the Horaman region in the past few years, so that one of the tourism experts in the region believed that the destination of tourists in the central cities and even Tehran has changed from north to west and Horaman.

Another factor in the growth of the number of tourists in the Horaman region, especially foreign tourists, was the global registration of the Horaman Cultural Landscape in UNESCO in 1400. Iran’s tangible culture was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The file of global registration of Horaman cultural landscape with 700 villages in Kermanshah and Kurdistan provinces is located with about 409 thousand hectares of area and territory, of which 106 thousand hectares are related to the area and 303 thousand hectares are part of the territory.

Following the global registration of the cultural landscape of Horaman, more foreign tourists have come to this region, and its continuation will introduce the region more to foreign tourists, which can have a good currency for the country.

Infrastructure is another influential factor and the main elements shaping the spatial structure of tourism. The existence of favorable tourism infrastructure in rural areas while meeting the needs of tourists increases the possibility of re-travel.

One of the problems of tourism services in the tourist places of the province, including rural areas, is the lack of suitable accommodation and hotels in all seasons and for all segments of society with different incomes.

On Nowruz this year and 2 holidays after it on the occasion of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (AS) and Eid al-Fitr, Kurdistan, especially its tourist cities such as Marivan, Baneh, Kamyaran and Horaman region were faced with a large number of tourists. It clearly showed that all the accommodation centers in these areas were completed on the first night, and many tourists were forced to either leave the area or find it difficult to spend the night in tents.

Strengthening the advantages of border and health tourism is another important capacity for the development of tourism in Kurdistan. And imports have become one of the destinations of tourists.

On the other hand, the proximity of medical centers in Kurdistan province to many Iraqi cities, the cheapness of medical services in Kurdistan compared to the high costs of treatment in Iraq and Iran’s significant progress in providing standard medical services are reasons that can lead to the development of health tourism in Kurdistan.

At present, Iraqi citizens can enter Kurdistan province through border terminals such as Siranband Baneh and Bashmaq Marivan. In the meantime, the Besat, Tawhid and Social Security hospitals in Sanandaj and Fajr Marivan Hospital have been able to obtain an International Patient Admission (IPD) permit from the Ministry of Health.

Meanwhile, the construction and operation of equipped medical centers, attracting experienced and experienced doctors along with proper advertising and marketing can provide the basis for the development of this part of tourism in Kurdistan.

The “culture of tourism” is far more important in the discussion of attracting tourists because what can attract more tourists and bring them back to the region is how people interact with them, especially those related to the tourism industry.

Although the rich culture and hospitality of the people of Kurdistan is not hidden from anyone and is famous in the history of this land and has always been mentioned as one of the characteristics of the people, but it is sometimes seen due to the weak infrastructure of the region such as lack of hotels and Accommodation Unfortunately, some profiteers take advantage of the opportunity and rent eco-tourism centers or rented houses to tourists at many times the price.

However, tourism – provided it preserves the cultural and environmental context – can play an important role in revitalizing the village, creating employment and income for the villagers, and ultimately integrated and sustainable rural development, using the existing natural and cultural capacities in rural areas. Be.

Kurdistan province has 32 hotels, 2 apartment hotels, 24 guest houses, 130 restaurants along the way and 32 eco-tourism accommodation units in 10 cities.

Abidar Park and Sanandaj Kurdish House Museum, Zaribar Lake in Marivan, Horaman region, Kerfto Divandereh Cave, Palangan Kamyaran village, Sanandaj, Baneh and Marivan city bazaars and Negal historical Quran are among the tourist attractions of Kurdistan province that receive the highest number of tourists every year.
