According to Moj News Agency, Sadegh Ziaeian, head of the National Center for Crisis Prediction and Management of Weather Risks, said about the country’s weather conditions: Today (May 16) in the northern half of the provinces of West Azerbaijan and East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, North Zanjan, Qazvin, Caspian Sea coast Scattered thunderstorms and strong winds are forecast in the central Alborz highlands.

He added: From Tuesday to Friday (May 27 to 30) with the intermittent passage of atmospheric waves from the northern strip of the country, in the north of West Azerbaijan and East Azerbaijan, Ardabil and some parts of the southern slopes of Alborz, including Alborz and Tehran provinces, as well as some coastal areas. Caspian Sea, North Khorasan and North Khorasan Razavi Increased clouds, scattered thunderstorms, occasional thunderstorms and strong winds occur.

According to the head of the National Center for Crisis Prediction and Management of Weather Risks, strong winds and dust storms are occurring in the southeast of the country today. With the transfer of the mass of dust formed on the countries of Iraq and Syria to the country, during Monday and Tuesday, the sky will be dusty in parts of the western half and the center of the country.

He added: During this period in the provinces of West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Zanjan, Kermanshah, Ilam, Khuzestan, Hamedan, Markazi, Lorestan, Tehran, Qazvin, Alborz, Isfahan, Ardabil and Qom and strong to very strong winds, Rising dust, reduced air quality, reduced horizontal visibility are predicted.

The head of the National Center for Weather Prediction and Crisis Management added: “Wind and dust are forecast in the eastern half of the country, especially in the Zabul region, from late Tuesday to Thursday.”

According to Ziaeian, the Caspian Sea will be rough and turbulent on Monday and Tuesday, and the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz will be rough from Tuesday to Thursday.

The head of the National Center for Weather Prediction and Crisis Management stated about the weather in Tehran over the next two days: The sky in Tehran tomorrow (May 17) will be slightly cloudy to partly cloudy with wind and sometimes strong winds and dust with a minimum temperature of 17 and The maximum temperature is 29 degrees Celsius and during Wednesday (May 28) it is clear and the wind is forecast with a minimum temperature of 17 and a maximum temperature of 29 degrees Celsius.

In the end, Ziaeian said: Today and tomorrow (May 16 and 17), Ahvaz with a temperature of 43 and 40 degrees Celsius and Shahrekord with a temperature of 6 degrees Celsius are the coldest provincial centers of the country.
