Transfer of flights and landings from Aleppo airport to Damascus and Latakia

According to the report of the International Economy Group of Fars News Agency, citing SANA, the Ministry of Transport and the General Civil Aviation Organization of Syria announced that they have transferred the scheduled flights and landings of the planes through the Aleppo International Airport to the Damascus and Latakia International Airports.

The statement of the Syrian Ministry of Transport states: As a result of the aggression of the Zionist regime that targeted the Aleppo International Airport and caused it to be disabled, it was decided to stop the landing of humanitarian aid planes for the earthquake victims and scheduled flights through Aleppo International Airport should be transferred to Damascus and Latakia airports.

In its statement, the ministry has asked travelers to coordinate their travel and transportation and flight schedules with airlines and relevant offices.

The Ministry of Transportation of Syria emphasized that its forces have started to identify the damages caused to the Aleppo International Airport in order to repair them in cooperation with the relevant national companies.

At 2:07 this morning (Tuesday, March 7), the Israeli enemy targeted the Aleppo airport in northern Syria in an air attack from the Mediterranean Sea and west of Latakia.

In recent years, the Zionist regime has repeatedly bombed various areas in Syria, and these attacks have disabled the airports of Damascus and Aleppo several times.

Nasser Kanani, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country, also strongly condemned the aggressive and inhumane attack of the Zionist apartheid regime on the Aleppo International Airport in Syria this morning and called on the responsible international institutions to take immediate and effective action to stop the crimes of this regime.

Kanani emphasized: While the Syrian earthquake victims in Aleppo are experiencing difficult conditions, the Zionist regime is attacking Aleppo airport, which is the main route for international aid to reach them, and this is a clear example of a crime against humanity.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added: “Unfortunately, some Western countries and human rights organizations are silent regarding the continuation of brutal and inhumane attacks by the criminal Zionist regime on Syria, which is an example of encouraging the mentioned regime as an aggressor and violator of human rights and international laws and regulations.” Is.
