Twitter storm of Bahrainis in support of the Secretary General of Jamiat Al Wefaq

According to the report of the international group of Fars news agency, thousands of Bahraini and Arab virtual activists today (Friday) declared their solidarity with Sheikh Ali Salman, the Secretary General of Jamiat al-Wefaq Bahrain, who is in prison.

According to Al-Ahed, in this regard, while publishing posts demanding the release of Sheikh Ali Salman, online activists republished the video of his speech regarding reform and justice and wrote that these demands are the main reason for his imprisonment.

In this regard, Sheikh Hossein Al-Daihi, Deputy Secretary General of Al-Wafaq, wrote: “The arrest and sentencing of Sheikh Ali Salman to 29 years in prison revealed the corruption and lack of independence of the judicial system and showed that this justice is false. In addition, the prison doors are still open to critics for political revenge.

Razi Al-Mousavi, the former secretary general of the Jamiat “Mili Waad Action” also wrote: “Sheikh Ali Salman and his friends are in prison because of Bahrain, which deserves a better life and reality than this.”

Ibrahim Al-Razi, one of the main members of Jamiat Al-Wafaq, also wrote on his Twitter page: “Mr. Sheikh Ali Salman is a global personality who always emphasizes national unity.” We confirm that his allegations are not valid based on available information. We demand the release of him and all the detainees so that the country achieves friendship and national reconciliation.”

Baqir Darwish, the head of the Bahrain Human Rights Forum, also emphasized on his Facebook page that the people of Bahrain need the wisdom, courage, steadfastness, tolerance and personality of Sheikh Ali Salman.

Ahmad Al-Wodaei, director of the Bahrain Institute of Law and Democracy, also wrote: “Sheikh Ali Salman’s request for freedom was never just a popular demand, but a global demand, and international institutions and the United Nations have emphasized it many times, and every moment He spends time in prison, it is the shame of his jailers.”

Abdul Jalil Khalil, a former representative of Al-Wefaq Commission in the Bahraini Parliament, also wrote: “During the time I was with him, I saw nothing but sincerity in work and honesty in speech from him. His concern and thoughts day and night were only the homeland, reform, stability and security of the country.
