Experts stress that Riyadh’s actions are aimed at dismantling the Transitional Council and forming a new military group. This group will replace the resigned government; A government that will practically end with the liberation of Marib by the army and popular committees.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE have conflicting interests in southern Yemen; Although the two countries have formed a coalition since 2015 to bring back fugitive Yemeni President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, they have been embroiled in sharp differences that manifest themselves in the form of these bloody conflicts.
