Ukraine: We do not have the ability to counter Iran’s ballistic missiles – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news

According to the Mehr news agency, quoted by Sputnik, “Yuri Ignat”, the spokesperson of the Ukrainian armed forces, in an interview with the “Rada” TV channel, announced that the Ukrainian army does not have the necessary tools to deal with Iran’s ballistic missiles.
This Ukrainian official once again claimed that “Russia is still looking to buy Iranian drones and Iran’s Zulfiqar and Fatah missiles, we do not have the necessary tools to deal with these types of missiles.”
American, Western and Ukrainian authorities and media have been claiming the use of Iranian drones in the Ukraine war for months, while the senior officials of our country and Russia have openly declared that Iran has not sold any weapons or drones to Russia for use in the Ukraine war. Now they claim that Russia is trying to buy ballistic missiles from Iran.
Nasser Kanani, the spokesman of Iran’s Foreign Ministry, said about the Ukrainian authorities’ claim of selling Iran’s drones to Russia: “Unfortunately, news is published that is based on political goals and is mainly fueled by Western media sources.” Iran has repeatedly declared that it is not a party to the war between Russia and Ukraine. Iran has not exported any weapons to any of the war parties. As we have said many times, Iran’s foreign policy is based on opposition to war, and regarding the war in Ukraine, we are also against war, and we are trying to end the military approach in this field according to our capacities.
Kanani further emphasized: It is a bitter political irony that countries that themselves export billions of dollars of weapons and military equipment to one side of the war accuse another country of sending weapons to one side of the war and start a propaganda and psychological war against Iran. If they are in favor of peace and creating a political solution to the war in Ukraine, what does this amount of sending weapons to one side of the war mean? This is a paradoxical behavior. We are looking for a political solution to solve this crisis and we welcome political solutions.
