Ulyanov: Western countries are not ready to finalize the Vienna talks – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr news agency, “Mikhail Ulyanov”, Russia’s representative in international organizations in Vienna, wrote in a Twitter message about the 2015 nuclear deal known as the JCPOA: “The best way to prevent negative practices in the region is to finalize the Vienna negotiations.” (Negotiations to lift anti-Iranian sanctions) is about JCPOA.
The representative of Russia in international organizations in Vienna continued in this regard: the progress of nuclear negotiations and the JCPOA can reduce the tension and pave the way for focused talks on the security of the region. (But) apparently, Western countries are not ready for this.
On January 12, he announced in this connection: Recently, Iran has confirmed several times its readiness to conclude the talks in Vienna regarding the revival of the JCPOA, and correctly announced that the ball is in the West’s court.
EU foreign policy official Joseph Borrell said in the past months after returning from Jordan to participate in the Baghdad II summit: I believe that there is no alternative to the JCPOA when it comes to nuclear non-proliferation. Those who think otherwise are only fooling themselves. That is why, as the coordinator, I continue to work to revive the JCPOA based on the results of the Vienna negotiations.
America, which unilaterally withdrew from the JCPOA in May 2017, always claims that it supports re-entering the nuclear agreement with Iran. Since April of last year, the United States, along with Russia, England, China, Germany and France, started negotiations with Tehran in Vienna, focusing on revitalizing the JCPOA and lifting sanctions.
The European troika consisting of England, France and Germany issued a joint statement in November of this year, without mentioning the inaction in fulfilling their obligations towards the 2015 agreement with Tehran, and claimed that they were worried about Iran’s insufficient cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency!
