Ulyanov’s reaction to the White House’s stance on Iran – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr news agency, “Mikhail Ulyanov”, the permanent representative of Russia in international organizations based in Vienna, reacted to the words of “Jake Sullivan”, the national security adviser of the White House, about Iran and the JCPOA agreement.
The permanent representative of Russia in international organizations based in Vienna wrote in a Twitter message about this: “Jake Sullivan” gave an important speech about the Middle East (West Asia). The part about Iran is confusing and it is not clear what kind of message he wants to send.
“Mikhail Ulyanov” added in this regard: However, the positive side is that the diplomatic option – judging by his words – is still on the table.
This is when Jake Sullivan, America’s National Security Adviser, took a position on Iran on Friday, May 15th of this year.
In this regard, he said: Washington still wants a diplomatic solution for Iran’s nuclear program. The agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran is in line with the approach that we support and encourage.
He further claimed the continuation of pressure against Iran and added: Our strategy in the Middle East (West Asia) is based on the dual deterrence and diplomacy. Our commitment to the Middle East region is unwavering because the region is of strategic importance to our interests. We are in the early years of a defining decade perhaps not seen since the end of World War II.
The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action known as the JCPOA was signed between Tehran and the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council in 2015 with the aim of eliminating concerns about Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.
In 2018, former US President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew from this agreement in violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2231.
Joe Biden, the current president of this country, has repeatedly claimed that Washington is willing to return to the nuclear agreement with Tehran.
Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said on November 10, 2022 (November 19, 1401) that the negotiations with the representatives of Iran in the capital of Austria did not come to a conclusion.
However, on March 6, 2023 (March 15, 1401), after returning from Tehran, he expressed hope for the continuation of negotiations with Iran, including high-level negotiations on uranium enrichment levels, in a press conference.
