United Nations: The situation in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem is worrying

Speaking to the UN Security Council on Tuesday, Tour Winsland said that he had not seen any progress in achieving a two-state solution, which would lead to instability and despair, IRNA reported from Russia Today.

Stating that many Palestinian civilians are being killed by Israeli forces, he called on the Zionist regime to take measures to protect Palestinian citizens from the settlers’ attacks and to bring the investigation and officials to justice.

The UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process also expressed concern about the Zionist regime’s plan to build new settlements separating the North West from the south: settlements, demolition or eviction of Palestinians, and restrictions on traffic. They increase violence.

Winsland also called on Israeli officials to stop demolishing and evicting Palestinians.

In recent days, Israeli attacks on the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem have increased and dozens of Palestinians have been arrested.

Palestinian officials say the Zionist regime wants to prevent the establishment of an independent Palestinian state by continuing settlements and putting pressure on Palestinians.
