United States: We have indirect relations with Iran – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

A US State Department spokesman said in a statement that Washington was in indirect contact with Iran through its European partners, Al Jazeera reported.

According to the report, US State Department spokesman Ned Price claimed that a return to the IAEA would require Iran to renounce its post-conflict demands and that the United States was ready to reciprocate the nuclear deal.

He added that reaching an agreement with Iran is still in the interest of US national security. We are not looking for a date to return to the nuclear deal.

Price also claimed: “Iran may acquire a nuclear bomb in a few weeks, so we are looking for a reciprocal return to the nuclear deal.”

He added: “The challenges that Iran has created in the Middle East will be at the top of the priorities of US President Joe Biden’s visit to Saudi Arabia and Israel.”

“We are waiting for a constructive response from Iran, regardless of the demands beyond the nuclear deal, and if Iran makes this political decision, we will be in a position to allow ourselves to return to the agreement,” the State Department spokesman said.
