Unseen Japanese artist paints Iran + Photo


According to the visual correspondent of Fars News Agency, Jun Matsubara (Jun Matsubara), a prominent Japanese artist with the work “Imam Mosque of Isfahan” and with the theme of Iran in the “Exhibition of Iranian-Japanese Cultural Exchanges” organized by the Iranian Cultural Counsel in Japan, in In an interview with the Cultural Counselor, he said: “At the age of 62, I have been working in the field of painting for about 44 years and I have never traveled to Iran. Of course, I had heard very limited information about Imam Khomeini and the Islamic Revolution. They are sincere and I am very interested in getting to know Iran closely.

The prominent Japanese artist added: “Iran’s cultural advisor and the establishment of this exhibition made me experience a new look at Iran, and the creation of this work, considering that I have not traveled to this country before, required serious studies and studies I did.” I became very interested in tiling, architecture and historical Iranian-Islamic buildings that look like miniatures.

He also referred to the building and architecture of Isfahan Mosque, from which he created his painting with inspiration, and added: “This building has many differences and differences with Japanese buildings, and I hope I can paint other works from Iran in this field.”

John Matsubara, while thanking the cultural consultant for holding this exhibition, which plays an important role in the cultural exchanges between Iran and Japan, added: “I hope that these exchanges between the two great countries of Iran and Japan will develop day by day and witness numerous joint exhibitions.” Iranian and Japanese artists in two countries, which is extremely important. He hopes that more contacts will be established with Iran, especially Iranian artists, after the exhibition.
