Unveiling and reviewing “The Night That Became a Storm” / Documentary Narration of Operation Valfajr 8 Night and the Role of Haj Qasim

According to a Fars News Agency cinema reporter, on the eve of the anniversary of Operation Valfajr, eight sessions were held to introduce the documentary “The Night That Stormed” focusing on the role of Martyr Haj Qasem Soleimani and the 41st Sarollah Division at the Haj Qasem School Foundation.

Amir Asgari, the director of the documentary “The Night That Stormed”, said at the meeting that was held to unveil this work: When Sardar Soleimani was alive, I wanted to make a film about Operation Valfajr 8, but Martyr Soleimani said: “Only the role of Lashkar-e 41 Sarollah “Show me, not my command.”
The unveiling ceremony and press conference of the documentary “The Night That Stormed” was held on the morning of February 7 at the school of Shahid Soleimani. This 50-minute documentary directed by Amir Asgari has been produced at Hajj Ghasem School.

At the beginning of the meeting, the director of the documentary “Night when the storm” presented a history of the presence of Haj Qassem Soleimani, the then commander of the 41st Sarollah Division and fighters of Kerman province in the holy defense operations and said: I interviewed him during Hajj Qasim’s lifetime. Some of the interviews took place in 1987, when Martyr Soleimani and several commanders of the Holy Defense traveled to the operational areas of the Holy Defense. During that trip, Hajj Qasim gave a very interesting and interesting explanation about Operation Valfajr.

Amir Asgari, stating that Hajj Qassem was very strict in interviewing and publishing them, said: Apart from Ghaela Kurdistan in 1979, Kerman has participated in more than 25 holy defense operations. Of these, in three operations, Shahid Soleimani was not the commander but was present and in 22 other operations he was in charge. In the 41st Sarollah Division, many forces were trained under his supervision, and in other holy defense operations, the Right Front benefited from their presence.

He said that he could have made such a documentary during Hajj Qasim’s lifetime, but he did not allow it. If I had done that, I would have wronged them, and that is why this documentary was not made. In 2013, I had a one-hour interview with him, who told me: “Do not publish this interview while I am alive.”

The documentary filmmaker pointed out that in this film we used the presence of a very good researcher, Mr. Abbas Mirzaei, and said: The research process of the film took nearly 6 months and Mr. Mirzaei had several suitable books about the holy defense and the 41st Sarollah Division. Among them, we can mention the “rugged roads of Imamzadeh”. He helped us know who we should go to. About 400 pages of research were done for this documentary, which we later reduced.

Askari also said about the other martyrs mentioned in the movie “The Night That Stormed”: In this documentary, the martyr Ahmad Amini is mentioned, who was a line-breaking commander and one of the divers, and Martyr Soleimani introduced him as a scholar of Lashkar-e 41 Sarollah. We also mention the 16-year-old student Yazdani, who was responsible for reconnaissance in Operation Valfajr 8.

Emphasizing that in this documentary we have dealt with the important and key cases of the 41st Sarollah Division in Operation Valfajr 8, he said: As you know, only two divisions were able to break the line in Operation Karbala 4, one is the Valiasr Division of Dezful and the other is the 41st Sarollah Division. Martyr Soleimani emphasized identification and even received identification reports immediately after the divers left Arvand. In this documentary, we have narrated only the night of Operation Valfajr 8, and we did not dwell on the other bravery and intelligence of this proud division during the operation.

The director of the documentary “The Night When There Was a Storm” explained the name of the film and said: Arvand was silent when the fighters went to identify him, but exactly on the night of Operation Valfajr, 8 rivers became stormy; Of course, this led the divers to the enemy shore. It is very difficult to cross Arvand. The speed of water inside Arvand is between 70 and 110 kilometers per hour, which is a very high speed.

Askari thanked Pouria Najafi, the editor and writer of this documentary, and said: “Fortunately, due to Mr. Najafi’s previous acquaintance with Sardar Soleimani, he did a very good job and it was edited and he worked with all his might for this documentary.” I am very happy to be with this tasteful artist.

The director, while hoping for the screening of the documentary when it will be presented to the audience in a wider form, said: “This documentary will be broadcast on television on the anniversary of the beginning of Operation Wal-Fajr 8, on February 11, and additional information will be announced later.”
