Unveiling of “iTicket” sales system / this year, only two movies made a profit


According to the news reporter of Fars news agency, the unveiling ceremony of the “iTicket” ticketing system was attended by Hashem Mirzakhani, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Cinema Shahr Institute, Abli Seztipi, Chairman of the Iranian Cinema Broadcasters Association, and Manouchehr Shahsaviri, a member of the Ayl Cinema Council, and Mohammad Reza Saberi, Vice President of Lanjman. Cinema owners, Seyed Mustafa Hosseini, CEO of Bahman Sabz Institute, and some managers of the most popular Iranian programs met on December 13 at Cinema Shahr Institute.

At the beginning of this ceremony, Hashem Mirzakhani, the CEO of Cinemashahr Institute, said: Currently, with the development of virtual space, the discussion of sales development through IT space has been raised and we are looking for the interaction of cinema with IT.

He continued: With the understanding created with the software that has more than 150 million subscribers, there will be a good opportunity to attract the audience to the cinema.

The CEO of Cinema Shahr stated: This year, only two of our films made a profit, and 4 films were able to recover only their costs, and the rest of the films did not even absorb their production costs.

Manouchehr Shahsawari also explained in this program: The number of cinema audiences this year is low and time is needed to get rid of this crisis.

He continued: Today, with 165,000 seats in the cinema, we see only 5% of them being occupied, while this amount of audience should reach at least 45%.

In the continuation of this ceremony, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Cinemashahr and popular Iranian programs such as Snap, EasyP, Fam, iGap, Rubika, etc., and the “iGap” ticketing system was unveiled.
