He went on to point out that we have the first place in food tourism among the 31 provinces of the country and added: So far, 350 types of food have been identified in Gilan province. Also, 33 types of food are registered nationally and 5 types of food that are newly identified will soon be registered in the national heritage list.
Vali Jahani further said: Archaeological excavations show that according to the climatic characteristics of different regions of Gilan and the lifestyle of the people in raising livestock and poultry, as well as the spread of walnut trees in the forests of the north of the country, the most type of food that people used in ancient times. They used to eat meat and stew from Fesanjan.
In this regard, he stated: We are trying to obtain the necessary permits in this festival so that an exhibition of works and pottery related to cooking from different regions of Gilan will be displayed for the public during the week of commemorating Rasht Day.
In the continuation of this meeting, the Deputy of Coordination of Economic Affairs of Gilan Governorate, referring to the need to identify investment opportunities in the province and provide operational solutions, stated: Gilan Province has a special climatic situation and numerous capacities in different sectors, which if properly utilized in the economic development of the province. It is effective and can play a significant role in boosting production and improving people’s livelihood.
Hossein Mohammadian further said: The plan to develop the strategic value chains of the provinces as a transformative measure and one of the work priorities of the Ministry of Interior with the aim of benefiting local communities from the proceeds of investment plans and realizing sustainable regional development by the Minister of Interior to governorates across the country. And the relevant specialized agencies were notified and following the notification of this plan, we introduced agricultural products in Gilan as a value chain for 10 agricultural products in the province and tried to create a value chain in all agricultural products.
Mohammadian, emphasizing the need to prepare investment opportunities in various tourism, economic and cultural sectors by eliminating administrative bureaucracy, providing the necessary space and infrastructure to attract investment and economic development in Khabardad province and said: space for interaction and unity for the entry of foreign investment and economic activists are available. The mayor of Rasht stated that around 50 restaurants from 17 cities will participate in this event with the coordination of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage of Gilan.
