US builds drone unit in Middle East waters with allies

According to IRNA on Tuesday, Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet, has claimed that his country’s security partners will provide security in the Middle East next year by patrolling 100 drones to prevent attacks. .
According to IRNA, the US military official has claimed that the Middle East is plagued by a wave of insecurity and problems due to the military and political interventions of the United States and some of its Western allies, while ensuring security in the Middle East and deterring attacks.
Reuters added: “The Middle East plays a vital role in world trade, especially given that the supply of oil in the Persian Gulf is done through the Strait of Hormuz.”
The US Navy launched a new task force last year to integrate drone and artificial intelligence systems with naval operations in Bahrain’s Fifth Naval Unit.
“We are at the height of an unmanned technology revolution,” said Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of the US Navy at the Abu Dhabi Defense Exhibition.
At the exhibition, the US official revealed his country’s plan to form a joint naval fleet with US allies.
“By next summer, 100 advanced drones will be on patrol in Middle Eastern waters,” Cooper said. The United States will join its allies in the Middle East, whose capabilities are capable of drones. These forces will be tasked with conducting operations in the new fleet to deter threats and secure key waterways.
“Israel and the UAE, which established diplomatic relations in 2020, are working closely with Washington to maintain security in the region and have developed indigenous drone equipment,” Reuters reported.
Cooper claimed that no country’s navy could protect the waters of the Middle East alone against all threats. This region is very large and we have to do this task through the cooperation of multinationals.
According to the US commander, the US Navy’s Fifth Unit has used drones in its naval maneuvers since November and has operated for thousands of hours.
