US claim: We are ready to return to the UN Security Council and lift sanctions against it

“President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken have made it clear that we have a special right to diplomacy,” Robert Mali told US National Radio on Friday.
He, like other US officials, reiterated accusations of proliferation against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program and fears of its progress, as well as US claims of options.
The US special envoy for Iran also spoke about a joint reciprocal return to Burjami’s commitments, saying that the Gulf states welcome a return to the agreement and are then ready to expand relations with Iran.
Robert Mali, meanwhile, noted the opposition of some Gulf Arab states in the past, saying that now everyone agrees that a return to the agreement is crucial.
The US special envoy for Iran also said that the Zionist regime is still opposed to the agreement, but even some former officials of the regime believe that leaving Borjam was a big mistake.
He also said that they would prefer the United States not to re-enter the agreement, but have openly stated that they do not want public differences.
The State Department official added that if the United States re-enters the agreement, Israel will not try to stop it. If this happens, they want to work with us on the post-agreement situation.
He also said that the United States wants to work closely with Israel.
“We are waiting to see what the position of the Iranians has changed,” Robert Mali said in response to a question, claiming that the signs and symptoms were not encouraging. We have to see what they say at the negotiating table.
He claimed that Russia, China, Britain, France, Germany and the United States all agreed that we should return to the agreement and resolve the remaining issues in the final round of talks in June. But we must speed up our work because our time is running out.
Concluding on the Vienna talks on December 29, he said that those who are negotiating with Iran will submit their report to us, but this is not the way it should be.
Robert Mali claimed that if Iran wants to reach an agreement sooner, it would be better to have face-to-face talks with us.

Earlier, Ali Bagheri Kani, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, said in an interview with The Independent: “The lifting of all sanctions related to Borjam, including the sanctions imposed in the framework of the maximum pressure campaign, is a necessary condition for the success of the negotiations.”

Referring to Washington’s reluctance to withdraw from the agreement reached after years of negotiations, he said: Political unrest in the United States is likely to affect its international behavior.

“Unfortunately, the failed policy of continuing the maximum pressure that began in the Trump administration remains on the agenda of the Biden administration,” Bagheri said.

On the eve of the next round of talks between the P5 + 1 and Iran, the EU foreign policy chief stated that the meeting was a real opportunity to resume full implementation of the UN Security Council.

According to IRNA, Joseph Borrell tweeted on Friday after a conversation with our Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian: “The return of Borjam to the main route is more necessary than ever.”

“We have a real possibility ahead of us,” he said, adding: “We must quickly end the debate on all remaining issues with pragmatism, realism and good faith.” The EU foreign policy chief also called for co-operation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Negotiations on the resumption of the implementation of the UN Security Council and the lifting of cruel and inhumane US sanctions against Iran are scheduled to take place on December 29 in Vienna. So far, six rounds of talks have been held in Vienna between Iran and the Group of Four plus one, and the parties are scheduled to meet in Vienna next Monday after a five-month break.

Iran complied with all of its obligations under the agreement, one year after the US’s illegal withdrawal from the Security Council, to give European countries that promised to compensate for the effects of Washington’s withdrawal a chance to live up to that promise.

But a year after the US withdrew from Borjam, Tehran announced that it would reduce its obligations under Borjam in a few steps, given that European countries had not fulfilled their promises. The reduction of Iran’s obligations was based on the provisions of the Borjam nuclear agreement.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, as a responsible country, has repeatedly stated that it will return to fulfilling its obligations in the UN Security Council if all US sanctions are lifted in a verifiable manner.
