According to the Mehr news agency, quoting the Anatolian news agency, the US Department of Justice issued a statement announcing that “Kambiz Attar Kashani”, an Iranian-American citizen, was arrested in Chicago on charges of illegally exporting electronic equipment and technology to the Iranian government.

According to the report, Kashani’s case will be heard in the Eastern District Court of New York.

According to Anatoly, “Brion Peace”, one of the prosecutors of the Eastern District Court of New York, claimed in this regard that “Kambiz Attar Kashani” used the US financial systems to provide American technologies to the Central Bank of Iran.

Referring to Kashani’s exports from February 2019 to June 2021, he said: “The accused did not obtain a license for these exports from the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).”
