US envoys criticize Zionist extremist groups for attacking Christians

According to IRNA from Middle East I, the criticism of the US delegates follows warnings about the systematic attempt to expel Christians from Jerusalem and the Holy Land by Israeli extremist groups.

In this regard, a group of American representatives from both the Democratic and Republican parties issued an unprecedented criticism of Israel, referring to the increase in attacks on the Christian community in Jerusalem, which is carried out by unpunished Israeli perpetrators.

Lawmakers led by Democratic Rep. Joaquin Castro and Republican Gus Bilirakis say extremist groups in Israel are threatening to expel Christians from the Holy Land and diversity in the city.

Lawmakers further warned that we, as a bipartisan group, are announcing to members of Congress today that we are deeply concerned about the growing attacks on the Christian community in Jerusalem.

The statement came as 13 Christian leaders and church leaders in Jerusalem issued a joint statement in December warning of a systematic attempt to expel Christians from Jerusalem and the Holy Land.
