US General: Russia’s control over eastern Ukraine is uncertain

The senior US military official added on Wednesday that anything could happen in the war. War has many changes. But I can not say that Russia’s control over eastern Ukraine is certain. However the numbers are clearly in the Russians’ favor.
Milli said that “probably three-quarters or more of the Ukrainian city of Sorodontsk has been occupied by Russian forces” but that “Ukrainians are fighting them street to street, house to house.”
He also described the current stage of the war as “very similar to World War I”, noting that Russia’s progress in the region has been “very slow and very difficult”.
“The Russians are facing a lot of problems,” he said. They have command and control issues, logistics, willpower, leadership and a wide range of other issues. The Russians have also suffered heavy casualties.
US President Joe Biden also spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelinsky about the new Washington military package in Kiev, as his country has been embroiled in various economic crises, including energy, rising prices and inflation for the past 40 years.
In talks with the Ukrainian president, the US president informed him that Washington would provide Kiev with an additional $ 1 billion in security assistance, including artillery and other weapons.
“I have informed Zelinsky that the United States will provide Ukraine with an additional $ 1 billion in security assistance, including artillery, coastal defense weapons, as well as ammunition for artillery and advanced rocket systems,” Biden said.
“I would also like to announce an additional $ 225 million in humanitarian assistance to the people of Ukraine, including drinking water, essential medicines and health supplies, food, shelter and cash for Ukrainian families to buy essentials,” he said.
According to IRNA, Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 21, 2022 (March 2, 1400) criticized the West’s indifference to Moscow’s security concerns, recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics in the Donbas region, and three days later, Thursday, February 24. (March 26, 1400) A military operation called “Special Operation” was launched against Ukraine, which turned tense Moscow-Kiev relations into a military confrontation.
The Ukraine war has entered its fourth month, and reactions to the Russian invasion, the shipment of weapons to Ukraine, and the new political, military, economic, and social consequences continue.
