US mid-term 2022 election case (1) / Texas primary

The election will also determine the future governors of 36 US states. This is the first election in the United States since the 2020 census, and it’s very important in that sense.
Under U.S. electoral law, elections are held within each party first, and finally on November 8, the final candidates of the parties will compete with each other. In this report, we look at the results of important qualifying races in Texas.
Governorate elections:
The Texas primary was held on March 1. In the Democratic primary, Beto O’Rourke, one of the party’s candidates in the 2020 presidential election, won with 91 percent of the vote. Among Republicans, incumbent Greg Abbott became the final Republican nominee with 66 percent of the vote.
A few months ago, the current governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, signed a law banning abortion after the sixth week of pregnancy in the state. The decision caused a great deal of controversy in the southern state, and this is one of the main issues in the election between Beto Overwork and Greg Abbott. Because Aurorak is a staunch supporter of the legality of abortion and Abbott is a staunch opponent. The two candidates also have differences over issues such as the entry of illegal immigrants from the southern border, which will make the Texas gubernatorial election even more sensitive.
House of Representatives elections:
One of the oddities of this year ‘s Texas primary election, known as the Conservatives’ main stronghold, was the victory of one progressive candidate and the passage of another progressive candidate in the second round. Greg Kazar, the new Progressive candidate from the state’s 35th district, won the Democratic primary with a landslide victory with 61 percent of the vote.
Jessica Cisneros, another Progressive candidate from District 28, won 46 percent of the vote in the House of Representatives election, and with her powerful rival, Henry Coelar, winning less than 50 percent of the vote, the run-off was in the second round. The two will be held on May 24. It is interesting to know that Henry Coelar is one of the longest-serving Democrats in the House of Representatives, having been in the House since 2005.
As noted, such results may be common in states such as New York and California in the United States, but the good results of two progressive representatives in a state such as Texas, one of the main conservative polling stations, are a serious warning to Republicans. In particular, the two candidates also enjoyed the direct support of progressive leaders such as Bernie Sanders and Alexander Kurtz.
The only major Texas Republican nominee for the House seat was in District 8. District 8 of Texas is a very conservative area north of Houston. Veteran Morgan Luther, who previously served in Trump’s Department of Energy and was directly supported by Trump, won the Republican nomination with 52 percent of the vote.
Senate elections:
Texas will not hold Senate elections during this term.
