US National Security Adviser threatens China over Ukraine

The US threat comes days after Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics.

A joint statement issued by the presidents of Russia and China after the meeting said that the friendship between China and Russia has no limits and there is no bar to cooperation between the two countries.

In an interview with ABC on Sunday, Sullivan said the United States had warned Russia of dire economic consequences if its troops entered Ukraine, which could affect China as well.

According to Politico, the US government’s national security adviser added that he knows that China is not in a position to compensate for our sanctions against Russia.
Sullivan continued: “If Russia decides to move forward, it will not only be a strategic cost for Russia, but also if China is seen as a supporter in the eyes of the world, Europe and other countries. Beijing will also have consequences, as countries have now openly stated that they prefer diplomacy to war.

According to IRNA, Biden’s national security adviser stressed in another part of his interview with NBC: “If Russia attacks Ukraine, the Stream 2 gas pipeline project will not be launched at all, and Russia will do this.” He understands well and also knows that we stand by our allies.

Recently, the West, especially the United States, has intensified claims that Russia may invade Ukraine, which is on its agenda.

The New York Times and the Washington Post, citing intelligence officials, have published reports claiming that Russia has devised a plan to justify an attack on Ukraine.

A State Department spokesman also claimed that the video was made entirely by Russian intelligence and was one of Moscow’s options as a fake excuse to launch and justify a possible military strike on Ukraine.

Ned Price claimed that the United States was making this claim as a way to deter Russia from its destructive and destabilizing false information campaign against Ukraine.

Experts believe that the White House, with the help of European allies, is seeking to strike at Russia and has used the issue of Ukraine as an excuse.

In recent months, NATO’s relations with Russia have been strained by Western claims of Russian military deployment along Ukraine.

Russia has stated that it does not intend to attack any country. Moscow has also warned that NATO actions near its borders pose a threat to national security and reserves the right to arbitrarily move troops into its independent territory.
