Use of Chinese technology in building units of the National Housing Movement!

According to Tejarat News, officials from the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, including Minister Rostam Ghasemi and his deputy Mahmoud Mahmoudzadeh, had previously said that talks had been held with Chinese and Turkish companies to upgrade the construction technology of the National Housing Movement units. It was also stated that if the manufacturing technology is upgraded, there is a possibility of a 30% reduction in the cost price.

In this regard, it was said that due to sanctions, the possibility of refining oil with foreign companies could be used; This issue was also mentioned by Mohammad Hadi Sobhanian, Deputy Minister of Economy, during a conference today.

Also Mahmoud Mahmoudzadeh – Deputy Minister of Housing and Construction of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development – on the sidelines of the 8th Annual Conference on Resistance Economics entitled Housing; Production negotiators announced that negotiations with foreign companies to participate in the National Housing Movement plan are aimed at technology transfer. In this sense, no construction in the country is done by non-Iranian companies. In the construction of all existing units of the project (540 thousand units from the previous housing project plus 320 thousand units of the National Housing Movement project), 100% of the projects will be done by local builders.

He added: “The policy of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development is that in small cities, especially cities with a population of less than 100,000 people, in places where it is possible to provide land, lands should be handed over to construction groups and the people should build it themselves.” Only in places where there are more than 10 units and need a professional builder, professional builders, contractors and well-known cooperatives will be invited.

The Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development reminded: The Ministry of Roads and Urban Development emphasizes that the construction of the units of the National Housing Movement plan should be done with a minimum profit in order to protect the interests of the applicants. The Ministry of Roads has guaranteed that the builders participating in the implementation of the project will not be harmed and the base price will be extracted based on the price list or the executive technical system of the country and action will be taken accordingly.

According to the report, on October 10, this year, a member of parliament announced that he was in talks with China to enter the construction of housing in the framework of the Housing Production and Supply Law. Iqbal Shakeri’s short sentence, which was widely reported in the media, provoked the reaction of Rezaei Kochi, head of the parliament’s civil commission, who opposed the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development’s negotiations with the Chinese to build mass housing in Iran, despite 500,000 engineers. Civil in the country, there is a capacity to build one million houses in Iran.

After these different positions, it was thought that China’s presence in Iran for housing construction was ruled out. But then, Rostam Ghasemi, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, agreed to negotiate with the Chinese to build housing in Iran, not for construction but for technology.

Also, the issue of industrialization has been started by the Ministry of Defense since the beginning of August. The ministry is set to build 100,000 units industrially under an agreement with the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development. The units of this project are supposed to increase the project implementation period from 36 months to six months and the useful life of the buildings from 25 to 30 years to reach over 100. In this regard, Ali Akbar Soleimani, Deputy Minister of Engineering and Passive Defense of the Ministry of Defense, announced that we should use the power of young scientists to turn this idea into a local product.
